CSV Tools
View CSV as a table, normalise delimiters and quoting, and convert between CSV, TSV and JSON. Built on papaparse with delimiter sniffing, so exports from Excel, Google Sheets and databases just work.
About CSV Tools
CSV looks simple until a field contains a comma, a quote or a newline. Formattr parses with a standards-compliant parser and writes output with correct quoting, and the table preview makes it obvious when a row has the wrong number of columns.
Converting JSON to CSV flattens nested objects into dotted column names, and converting back can rebuild the nesting.
Frequently asked questions
Why does Excel show strange characters in my CSV?
Excel assumes a legacy encoding unless the file starts with a UTF-8 byte-order mark. Turn on the Excel-friendly option in JSON to CSV to add one.
Can I convert semicolon-separated files?
Yes. Delimiters are detected automatically, and you can choose comma, semicolon, tab or pipe explicitly.

- Data Formatters & ConvertersFormat, validate and convert the data and configuration formats developers handle every day: JSON, YAML, XML, CSV, TOML and .env files. Every tool here keeps the same information and changes only its structure — pretty-printed for reading, minified for shipping, or converted for the next system. Everything runs in your browser, so API responses and customer records never leave your machine.
- Code FormattersFormat JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Markdown and more with the same engines your editor uses — Prettier, clang-format, gofmt and Ruff — without installing anything. Paste minified or messy code, get consistently formatted output, and minify it again when you need to ship. Code never leaves your browser.
